This site is, by far, the best site to meet a Filipina. As an American Man seeking a Filipina, there was a huge variety of women available. Many sites nickel and dime you for everything, including a per-message fee!? But Cupid has a much better subscription-based service with unlimited communication and does a great job of promoting you! I had dozens of new ladies initiate conversations with me every day! You will find all kinds of women here, truly! Most are looking for a serious relationship, not hook-ups. I highly recommend it, especially the Platinum Subscription. If you’re serious about finding someone, then $50/month is a small fee to pay and well worth it for what you get. We’re coming up on our 1-year anniversary now, so I decided it was time to write a review of this great site!

The FilipinoCupid dating site is similar to all the Cupid Media dating sites. It’s well-organized, simple, and full of active members. However, the interface of the dating service needs modernization, yet it doesn’t affect the dating experience.

The unique thing about Filipino Cupid is that members go through extensive questionnaires that make their profile very detailed and allow them to connect with potential matches based on compatibility. Communication services and other advanced features are primarily available to premium members, but the number of perks a user has depends on the subscription type. There are 3 of them: Gold, Platinum, and Diamond memberships.

As usual, we’re starting our Filipino Cupid review by exploring what features it offers its members. One thing that has caught our eye from the start is that there are not an overwhelming number of features on the site, which is a good thing as members who don’t have experience with online dating can easily navigate FilipinoCupid. But let’s dive into the main features and our experience with them.

Basic and advanced search

We started our journey in the Online section of the top tab, where we found a basic search tool with some basic search filters. It helps to do light filtering of all Filipino singles on the site and will work best for people without a detailed vision of who they particularly want to meet.

The basic search tool in the Online section worked well, but we also wanted to explore the Search itself. The Search section of the tomb bar redirected us to an advanced search tool where we could get more precise member search results.

The advanced search option has over 15 filters and works well if you have a particular list of qualities you want to see in a Filipino woman. We especially liked the option of filtering out based on the dating goal on the site, as it can save a ton of time on search and communication.

Also, a cool little addition is the ability to save your search entry. You can select your parameters and use everything the same to search for new Filipino men and women the next day. You can also search based on Cupid tags to narrow the member base and get better matches.

Matches

Another interesting feature that is available on Filipino Cupid is compatibility matching. That’s what this site and Cupid Media, in general, are known for. The key to using Matches is to take your time and go through all the questionnaires, as that’s how the website algorithm matches you to other users. Therefore, if you don’t have a detailed profile or a chat with someone who hasn’t finished their questionnaires, you can’t check your compatibility properly.

The Matches itself has 3 sections:

• My Matches—members match the criteria to share on your profile
• Mutual Matches—both parties match in preferences
• Reverse matches—you match the criteria of Filipino women or men

We find this service very interesting, and it’s perfect for people who prefer a scientific approach to dating.

Instant chat

The only communication method on Filipino Cupid is instant messenger. That’s your standard text chat that opens in a pop-up window. It’s quite standard, and the only interesting thing is that it offers communication prompts in the form of topic suggestions.

Oh, and it’s also important to mention that Filipino Cupid is a rare dating service that provides free communication. Though it’s limited, as standard members can chat only with premium Filipino singles, it’s a big perk.

As we already mentioned, Filipino Cupid is a subscription-based site, which means that members pay monthly or for longer periods depending on their subscription. The current FilipinoCupid cost for premium membership is:

Profiles quality — FilipinoCupid user base review

While researching the site, we saw comments about FilipinoCupid scams, which inspired us to be even more thorough in our profile quality check. On any profile of Filipino Cupid, the only thing you can’t say about it is that it’s not detailed. Those profiles are meant to be very detailed, as the site is praised for its compatibility matching.

However, in real life, no online dating service can claim to be free, as fake profiles happen, especially when registration and limited communication are free. To help you see the red flags of fake profiles, we want to show you one high-quality and one low-quality profile.

The first profile that we want to share is a suspicious one. We are almost 99% sure that it’s fake or a scammer. Why?

• The user didn’t go through the verification process
• Only one photo was added, and it seems not real
• The page is poorly filled
• No questionnaires filled

As you can see from the screenshots, this dating profile barely has any information added at all. Overall, we liked the quality of the Filipino Cupid profiles. But frankly, we think it’s too much. But the downside is that it robs you of the excitement of getting to know that person, as you learn so much just based on the information on the dating profile.
