After that, you’ll be able to edit your profile, and although there’s no matching algorithm on this site, it’s still very important because with a full profile, you’ll get more messages. Without credits, you can use search filters, add women to your favorites, watch their photos, and even chat for up to 10 minutes for free. The latter is possible due to the welcome bonus (20 credits).

OkAmour is not the most advanced dating site we’ve ever seen, to be fair: there are some platforms with a video chat and other top-notch tools, so OkAmour didn’t surprise us with its assortment of features.

However, there are still several interesting things about this platform. Let’s talk about them.

Welcome bonus

The point is that all the best mail-order bride sites today are not free to use—they might have a credit system (like OkAmour) or a subscription system, but male users always have to pay to chat with women on these sites. That’s how this industry works in the 2020s.

OkAmour is not an exception, but it has one serious advantage: all the new users here get 20 credits for free after creating a profile. There’s no need to verify your profile or enter additional info—you just sign up and get the bonus. 

20 credits might look like a very small bonus, but it’s actually not that bad. The point is, live chat costs only 2 credits/minute here, so if you choose 1 woman and chat with her only, you’ll be able to spend 10 minutes communicating with her for free!

“Say Hello”

You can fight us on this, but our opinion is still the same: the first message to a woman on a dating site is the hardest message to come up with. 

That’s when the “Say Hello” feature can help you. These are very simple pre-written messages you can send to any woman—they are not personalized and not that deep, to be honest, but they are light and simple, and they work quite well. They are not free, however. 

Favorites list and likes

The previous feature is basically sending a message and initiating the conversation. These features are different. With Favorites, you can add a woman to your favorite list if you don’t want to lose her profile, and with likes, you can show a woman that you’re interested in her. These features are 100% free, but you still need to have at least 1 credit to send likes to women (although you won’t be charged for it).

Second, the quality of the profiles is fantastic. Take a look at the screenshot above. It’s a random woman from Ukraine whose profile looks perfect: lots of high-quality pictures, a detailed self-summary, a lot of additional personal and social information, etc. The good news is that most profiles here look like this one: some of them have more photos, some have fewer, the others might have longer or shorter profile descriptions, but in general, the profile quality is amazing here.

How to use OkAmour

It’s very easy to sign up on the OkAmour app, but entering your email address is definitely not all you need to do to succeed on this site. Continue reading to find some really useful tips!

Registration Process

So, the registration on the OkAmour dating site is very simple—as we’ve just said, you only need an email address to sign up. Enter the address, then your name and date of birth, and it’s done. We also recommend confirming the email address because if you don’t, you will miss all those discounts and sales they often have on OkAmour. 

Profile Creating

After that, you’ll be able to edit your profile. Click “My Profile,” and you’ll see two fields called “About Myself” and “Member you’re looking for.” In the first one, you can enter your marital status, education, religion, hobbies, job/profession, attitude towards smoking/drinking, etc. In the second one, you can edit a few fields, too—body type, age range, hair/eye color, height, etc. You can also upload the profile photo and write a profile bio here, but the latter is not required. The former is not required either, but using this site without a profile picture will definitely not lead to a top-quality dating experience because in this case, the response rate will drop drastically.

Searching for Potential Matches

First, you click “Search.” Then, you click “Search filter” and choose among three filters: country, age range, and gender (there are lots of male members here, too). Unfortunately, the assortment of search filters is not that wide here, but it’s enough for the majority of users.

Communication with Matches 

Click on the profile and then, click “Chat Now” or “Letter.” Live chat is affordable and convenient, the latter option is very convenient, too, and it’s perfect for those searching for a meaningful relationship. You can also attach media files when chatting or typing letters, but remember that sending a photo costs 10 credits, and sending a video costs 50 credits. You can also send audio files, but, unfortunately, you can’t record a voice message here—you’ll need to record it with your phone or laptop and upload it manually, which is not that convenient, to be honest.
