When we started writing this list of the most faithful wives by country, we expected to see Ukraine and Poland here, as well as China and the Philippines. However, some countries were very unexpected to us.
Like the Netherlands. A very sexually liberal country with famous red-light districts, legal prostitutes, and a permissive attitude to drugs? Well, yes—in fact, there are fewer cheaters per capita in the Netherlands than in any other Western European country and the United States. Only 17% of responders [11] admitted to cheating, which is one of the lowest “cheating rates” in the world. This can probably be explained by the fact that on an individual level, Dutch people are pretty conservative (unlike the societal level on which the country is very tolerant and liberal). They are tolerant, yes, but when it comes to family life, Dutch women believe that being loyal to their husbands is very important.
10. Thailand

In reality, Thailand has a serious problem with infidelity… but only because of Thai men, not because of Thai women. Thus, according to the same survey we mentioned above, around 61% of the responders in Thailand said they cheated on their partners—but the absolute majority of them were male.
The point is, in Thai society, there is such a thing as “mia noi,” which means a “second wife.” In Thailand, people believe that if a man can afford to cheat, he can do it without any problems. The relationships with “mia noi” are often transactional, which means Thai men basically can have sugar babies, and their society is ok with it! That’s where the high infidelity rate comes from, and it has nothing to do with Thai wives, who are usually faithful, caring, and loving. It’s their men who spoil the statistics.
